Student. Not a word I thought would apply to ME. Ever again.
But it does now.
So far I have “Networking Concepts” on M/W, and they have me scheduled for “Keyboarding” as well. I’m going to try and challenge that one. If I can’t type 35 words per minute for five minutes with less than 3 errors, then I’m screwed and I DESERVE to sit through the sort of class I took 20 years ago.
T/Th I appear to have “Intro Software Applications”, “Technical Customer Support”, then “Composition and Reading” I’m hoping these will all be easy, because if they are the first quarter will be delightfully simple.
At least I don’t have to take any math classes. Hallelujah!
I’m having a difficult time adjusting to the day-people schedule. I don’t care for it. No, not at all. Sunshine is an annoyance, and having to be pleasant to strangers for several hours at a stretch is …uh… interesting.
That’s school. It’s not bad. Actually, I have no opinion of it other than the part about having to get up early. That’s not really related to the school aspect, so much as the ‘participating-in-society-when-sleepy’ aspect.
I’m exhausted. I need more sleep, but there are things that prevent me from achieving that. I’m taking vitamins. It may be helping a bit. We can’t be sure.
One thing is certain. I’m either going to find that I like the idea of being a productive, normal member of society OR I’m going to find I can’t stand it and I wish to become a bohemian, vagabond, destitute, unwashed drifter. Yeah. Sexy. “What’s that smell?” “Oh, Joy’s visiting.”
Am I alarmist for thinking that we, as a nation aren’t far from martial law and all the abuses that could come with it?
Yay. Can’t wait for Bird Flu to sweep the land and cause mandatory quarantines to be enforced by the government.
Please take note of my raging sarcasm.

JayZUS!
That very thought scares the holy crap out of me.
Comments? Opinions?
Saw this link in SJ’s blog, and I just have to agree wholeheartedly.
Hypocrisy is so ugly. I’m kind of glad I’m not rich so I don’t feel compelled to buy shit from people who so blatantly use people up and then drop them like a crumpled paper napkin at the first sign that they’ll expose to the real world how completely shallow and ridiculous the entire fashion industry is.
They don’t care about whether Moss is doing something detrimental to her health. They don’t care, even, that it might influence young and impressionable minds. No…they only care that it reflects poorly on them and could affect their bottom line. Period.
Sick.
