Boston Legal… Episode: Attack of the Mooninites
Cats: miscellanea|Did Peter Beredovsky Really Break The Law?
I find it interesting that the items in question… LED boards with a picture of a cartoon character throwing the finger… had been placed in several major cities throughout the U.S. …
For a number of weeks…
Before anyone decided to question what they were, or why they were there.
This leads, suddenly, to general hysteria on the part of Boston law enforcement, where they have to investigate not just ONE device in the city, to find out it’s just an advertisement scheme… No… they have to run around with a bomb squad and dismantle ALL of them.
Because they’re dense, maybe? Are people in Boston more anal retentive than… say… Seattle? Surely they aren’t more backward. There are educated people there. Aren’t there?
Doesn’t ANYbody on the Boston police force watch Cable? A rookie cop, maybe? No? Ok… anyone have kids?
Alright, alright… how about… didn’t ANYbody, EVER… in the 80s… play an Atari videogame… ?
Anybody?
How can you POSSIBLY mistake the little bugger for anything but what he is? He’s crappy video game graphics from a bygone era, come to life as a cartoon character in an irreverent pop culture favorite Adult Swim cartoon.
How can anyone look at that and think it’s a bomb?! Not to mention… an LED board with a few wires and a battery… I mean… yeah. Looks a lot like C4, don’t it?
Don’t leave your iPods laying around folks. You’ll get charged with deliberately scaring people with your bomb hoax.
And beware your digital alarm clock. It gots them perty lights, too. It coult kill ye.
Will sales of LiteBrites in toystores nationwide suddenly plummet?
And don’t I wish I was THIS guy … well… if anybody is sucker enough to bid on it.
