I need references.
Cats: blatant self-promotion, random thoughty-ness|For one of my classes. I have to come up with 4 people to use as ‘references’ as though I were applying for a job. (This is, I suspect, to prepare me with the references I’ll need when I DO apply for a job.)
Problem: It can’t be family (a given) or a friend. That last is difficult. The only people I know are people I consider friends. Everyone else is an acquaintance that probably doesn’t know me well enough to qualify to be a reliable reference… so how does one get around THAT?
Anyway, if you kinda know me, and think I’m cool, and would like to be a reference that could vouch for me if/when I apply for jobs… you know… let me know and stuff.

I’ll give you a reference any time you need. In the “real” world, friends are allowed to give references.

I think I would fit into the ‘barely knows you’ reference mold you’re looking for.
Count me in.
Plus, I write amazing letters of reference.

Or the singy thing… or we met at a bar one foggy night when I wandered in looking for a rubber band to shore up my garters… no… don’t use that last story)Please email me with your appropriate contact information… you know, all that stuff they want to know about references.
