Twins. I found both of these in the same box. I wonder if they were sent the same year. Wait… whoops, I just found another… THREE of the same…. hm.
Look in the mirror

Please Be My Valentine
Another hand made valentine greeting. Note the penmanship. Writing, the physical act, not just the literary part of it, was truly an art form back then.
On the back:
To Doris Y.
Inside it’s signed Doris, and I can’t tell if that’s an ‘I’, or a ‘P’. I’m thinking it’s a ‘P’.
Be my own sweet Valentine

Old Jolly Santa -
Claus wants to see you all at Grand Pa’s
Kissling house on
Christmas Eve.
Yours Truly.
Santa sent Granddad a post card! How festive and fun!
Check out the 1927 seal on the envelope. They had them back then, even.
And a one cent stamp to mail it! The post mark is Christmas Eve. Check out the address. Just the recipient’s name, and the town. I also had to add in a scan of the interior of the envelope. Pretty, no?
A MERRY [...]
Ok, fooled you again.
Another seasonal greeting that is NOT a valentine.

For nuts and pears and apples,
For everything we need,
For pumpkin pie and turkey,
We give Thee thanks indeed.
